A TT.net guy saw the Z advertised in the local paper and posted about it. I had a new 350z on order back then so I wasn't really looking, but this one sounded too good to be true: 91 TT, 21K miles, $16K. So I called the seller & told him I'd be there in a couple of hours. I showed up with $16,000, the Seller had just finished smoking & I could smell it all the way up his front walk. He took a test drive with me - it was my first time driving a TT so I accidently oversteered on a turn, then overcorrected, and finally got the car straight - I just acted like nothing had happened & i'm thinking "WOW, I love this car!"...he just sat there giggling when his hands on the dashboard...carfax was clean, the car didn't smoke(just the owner), no repaint/clean carfax/no damage/etc. So within an hour of getting there I gave him a bank check for $16,000 & then he starts acting nervous....he's got the title so no problem there, but I asked him to sign it over to me & that was easier said than done given his rising level of paranoia. Finally he settled down, so then I told him I was leaving my 2+2 in his driveway overnight so I could take my new TT home with me....So I pulled a plate off my 2+2 & put it on the TT and drove it home where surprise-surprise I found a joint under the front seat :)
